Accessibility at Lord’s

Lord’s has designated wheelchair areas, lifts and adapted facilities, but the best route depends on your ticket and the stand. Discuss your needs before booking: contact accessibility.tickets@mcc.org.uk or 020 7616 8653. Last checked: October 2026.

Booking accessible tickets

Select Wheelchair Area in the international ballot. For ambulant seating, MCC’s ballot guidance says to apply for general seating and complete the accessibility form linked in the confirmation email. Outside the ballot, contact the team before buying a seat whose steps or position may not work for you.

MCC provides a complimentary companion ticket where an approved carer is needed. Its 2027 conditions say supporting documentation may be requested, including PIP/DLA evidence or a Nimbus Card; ask what applies to your circumstances. A companion must attend with you. Discuss neighbouring seats with the team if travelling in a group. Last checked: October 2026.

Explain whether you need level access, few steps, a transfer seat, room for an assistance dog or a particular toilet facility. Request written confirmation of the allocated area and route, so your requirements are clear before you travel.

Getting to the ground

National Rail lists London Marylebone as step-free category A, with level access to all platforms and Passenger Assist available. Check the Underground connection separately. Plan the entire journey in TfL’s accessibility information, including the final pavement route.

MCC’s travel guide suggests bus connections from Kilburn on the Jubilee line or Golders Green on the Northern line for visitors requiring step-free routes. Use TfL’s journey planner and lift-status information for your travel day.

On major match days there is no parking within the ground, but Club Services can arrange advance set-down and pick-up at No. 6 car park. Accessible parking on minor days is subject to prior arrangement and availability. Book your space with Club Services before travelling. Club Services can explain the booking and Blue Badge requirements.

Inside the ground

MCC lists wheelchair areas in Compton, Edrich, Grand, Mound and Warner, plus the Pavilion for eligible visitors. Lifts serve several stands; ask for a route to the specific seat allocated to you. Use the stand-specific AccessAble guide and confirm the final route with MCC, especially around Allen redevelopment.

Ask a steward for a RADAR key to adapted toilets. MCC identifies a hoist-equipped changing room at Compton ground level; AccessAble’s overview identifies Changing Places facilities behind Compton and behind the Pavilion. Tell the access team about your sling requirements. Discuss the equipment and route with MCC’s access team when booking.

MCC’s access statement describes induction loops at most ticket-office windows. The ground also has audio-commentary headsets and a sensory room, accessed with steward assistance. Ask the access team about hearing support for your seating area.

Assistance dogs and support

Assistance dogs are welcome; MCC says bowls are available from the Head Steward’s Office. Mention your dog when requesting seating so the team can discuss space and an appropriate route. Ask where you can take a break outside the busy seating area during an interval.

If noise or crowding is a concern, ask about sensory-room access before the day. Keep the contact number and your agreed arrangements available to your companion, and speak to a steward if a route or facility differs from what you expected.
