Dennis Amiss Stand, Edgbaston: view, shade and what to expect

Dennis Amiss is Edgbaston’s new western stand for 2027, facing across the square towards Hollies. The club confirms a new food-and-drink concourse and alcohol-free blocks 1–3. Start with those blocks for a family outing, then use the club’s seat information to choose your row.

The view

The stand forms the western side of the new development in front of the Radisson RED hotel. The side-on angle suits watching strokes, running between wickets and changes in the field. A lower seat puts you closer to the boundary; a higher position gives more of the ground in one glance. Compare the block’s angle before choosing between those perspectives.

Dennis Amiss catches morning sun and gets a mix of sun and shade in the afternoon. The club has confirmed the stand’s name, location and alcohol-free blocks, alongside its 2027 ticket categories. Use Edgbaston’s current seat plan for the roof cover and view offered with your particular ticket. Bring sun protection for the morning session.

Alcohol-free blocks

Blocks 1–3 are alcohol-free: the club says spectators must not consume alcohol there and stewards monitor the policy. This is a seating-area rule, so choose those blocks when an alcohol-free environment matters to your group. It is distinct from the ground-wide ban on bringing your own alcohol into the stadium.

Premium areas and access

The development also contains named boxes and the Spin Restaurant hospitality offer. Book those through the club’s hospitality route; a public Dennis Amiss seat admits you to the public stand. For step-free seating, tell Edgbaston you want the new stand and ask for the complete route, viewing position and companion arrangement before paying. The club’s ticket office can match the seat to your needs.

Restricted-view tickets can hide part of the outfield; the club says the active pitch remains visible. Heavily restricted seats can also hide part of the pitch. Read the seat category before booking.

Food, drink and toilets

Edgbaston confirms a new concourse with food and drink for Dennis Amiss. That makes refreshments part of the public stand experience, alongside the outlets elsewhere around the ground. Once inside, locate your block entrance and the nearest toilets before settling down, especially if you have children with you.

For an adapted toilet or a route without steps, speak to the club’s access team about the facilities serving your booked block. Menus and opening points depend on the match. Bring food in accordance with the current ground regulations, leave glass bottles at home and use the stadium’s outlets for permitted drinks. Alcohol bought elsewhere inside cannot be consumed in blocks 1–3.

Who it suits

Dennis Amiss is a strong choice for visitors who like a side-on view and want to try Edgbaston’s new stand. Families and groups seeking an alcohol-free area will particularly appreciate blocks 1–3. Watching across the square also makes it easy to explain the field and follow the running to someone enjoying their first match.

Choose the block before the price band, then check the exact seat and access route with the club. Pack a hat for the morning sun.
