Bridgford Road Stand, Trent Bridge: view, shade and what to expect

Bridgford Road, formerly the PKF Smith Cooper Stand, is Trent Bridge’s family choice: select the designated alcohol-free blocks towards the Pavilion end. Its raised wheelchair deck gives an elevated view with lift access, charging points and adjacent carer seats. Choose the named family block or accessible position first, then compare the row and ticket category.

The view

Family blocks by the Pavilion

The southwest curve gives an angled view across the wicket, with the Pavilion nearby and Radcliffe Road beyond the opposite end. Alcoholic drinks cannot be consumed in the designated blocks nearest the Pavilion. Choose those blocks explicitly on the booking map when that setting matters to your day; the rule does not turn every Bridgford Road seat into an alcohol-free seat.

Choosing your row

The stand spans several price categories, with the club identifying the rear as a useful place to find value. Lower rows bring you close to boundary fielding, while raised seating gives more of an overview. Some back-row Ashes seats include merchandise and a commentary headset. Compare standard and bundled products before checkout, particularly when booking several adults and children together.

Raised wheelchair deck

The rear viewing deck is reached by a passenger lift in the Administration Block at the southern end of the stand. It has electric wheelchair charging points and adjacent seats for carers. The club also lists pitch-level wheelchair positions. Ask the Ticket Office to book the appropriate space and explain your route; some ordinary seating steps do not have handrails.

Morning and afternoon

This western side catches morning sunshine and gets a mix of sun and shade later. Roof cover is limited, so pack for an outdoor day and put a hat and water where you can reach them. Ask the club about your exact row if a rail or another obstruction would affect a child’s view or your preferred seating position.

Food, drink and toilets

The club’s Blast guide places the family stand near food, drink and children’s entertainment. Check the match’s own information for what is running, then plan a snack break before younger visitors become tired. A packed picnic is useful for a full Test day; use non-glass containers and bring soft drinks in the permitted packaging.

Accessible toilets are listed on level two and on the rear concourse. Ask a steward for the appropriate route from the raised deck or pitch-level position and for a RADAR key. Child identification wristbands are available from stewards, volunteers, reception or the Ticket Office; write your contact details and seat location inside.

Bring food and soft drinks in non-glass containers; leave glass and metal cutlery at home. Current ground regulations and the latest matchday guide explain the entry rules.

Who it suits

Families who want an alcohol-free seating block will love having a clear starting point here. The nearby concourse makes intervals manageable, and the raised deck gives wheelchair users an alternative to pitch-level viewing. Friends looking for a range of ordinary seat prices can also compare the different blocks.

Book the alcohol-free block by name and keep everyone’s tickets together. That small step is more useful than choosing the stand without checking the block.

Tickets for this stand

Public Ashes seats are sold in Categories 1, 2 and 3. Select the alcohol-free block before the price, and contact the club separately for the wheelchair deck. Merchandise seats and off-site restaurant bundles are different products; read their inclusions alongside the standard seat menu.
