The view

The western side

The side-on position gives you the batter’s movement and the field setting across the square. Compare the outdoor block with the wicket on the map: lower rows bring boundary fielders closer, while height gives a broader overview. Lumley Castle overlooks the ground, and Lumley Castle Hotel is a distinctive base for an overnight visit.

Graveney Lounge

The Graveney Club has its own exclusive lounge and balcony membership, separate from ordinary county membership and public seating. Speak to Durham about joining or the relevant room booking.

Executive rooms

Durham sells lounge places and executive boxes through official hospitality. Published 2027 international packages include balcony seating, catering and drinks. Confirm the specific room and viewing position when booking.
