Edrich Stand, Lord’s: view, shade and what to expect
Edrich puts you at the Nursery End, looking back towards the Pavilion. Pick your tier for either boundary-level involvement or a higher view of the bowling, then check the precise row for cover and access.
At a glance: Edrich Stand
The view
Edrich curves around the northeast corner of Lord’s, on the other side of the Media Centre from Compton. It offers an end-on perspective with a sideways angle that changes across the stand. Compare seats nearer the middle of your chosen block if you want a balanced view of the wicket and both sides of the field.
The upper tier is a sensible starting point for watching field changes and the movement of bowlers and batters as a whole. Lower-tier seats bring the boundary closer. Neither choice is automatically the best: look at MCC’s seat viewer with your own priorities in mind, including whether the replay screen is visible from the seat.
Edrich has three roofed tiers, with exposed seating near the field. It is in shade under cover in the morning and faces the afternoon sun. Bring a hat for a summer afternoon, even if you choose a roofed area. For exact row cover, use the present seating layout rather than older advice written for the previous stand.
AccessAble’s upper-tier survey records a lift route and a designated viewing area at Entrance 8, reached by a ramp described as steep. Its surveyed wheelchair view is clear, with a companion alongside. Standard rows still have steps. Describe your mobility needs to MCC so the team can allocate a suitable position and explain the complete route.

Food, drink and toilets
The upper-tier survey identifies the Nursery View Bar and toilets in the rear concourse, including an adapted toilet. The lower tier and balcony have their own AccessAble guides. Read the guide for your ticket’s level; facilities on a different tier may be less convenient than the nearest entrance makes them appear.
The upper adapted-toilet survey records an obstructed transfer space at the time of inspection. If transfer room is essential, confirm the current arrangement with MCC before travelling. On arrival, establish the route between your position, the toilet and refreshments. Keeping those details settled makes it easier to enjoy a full session without unnecessary trips between levels.

Who it suits
Edrich is a rewarding choice for anyone who likes following the bowling line while keeping the whole field in view. From the Nursery End, a higher position gives you room to watch the captain’s field changes and see how the batter responds. It also makes a natural comparison with neighbouring Compton for an end-on afternoon.
For an afternoon visit, pack a hat and sunglasses so you can settle in and enjoy the cricket as the sun moves round towards the stand.
