Grandstand, Derby: view, shade and what to expect
The Grandstand is Derby’s eastern and north-eastern outdoor viewing choice beside the Ryley Wealth Elite Performance Centre. It is uncovered, with designated accessible viewing identified by the club and Legends Lounge in the nearby building. Public seating and a catered lounge booking are separate ways to spend the day, so choose the actual ticket category before arriving.

The view
The eastern view
The eastern side looks across the wicket and field. A higher row helps with field changes; lower places keep boundary action closer. Exact restricted places are TBC, so ask about the offered railing and row before booking a group.
Accessible viewing
The club identifies accessible viewing at the Grandstand, with bays to arrange through its access service. Name the equipment, companion and fixture before buying. A designated viewing position is different from an ordinary public row, and accessible parking must also be pre-booked under the club’s deadline. Check the route between your bay and the nearest suitable toilet before settling in.
Legends Lounge nearby
Legends Lounge is on the top floor of the Ryley Wealth Elite Performance Centre, also called the Gateway, rather than the separate Media Centre. Its balcony, bar and dining product are booked as hospitality. Ask about the complete room and outdoor viewing route before selecting a catered package; ordinary Grandstand admission does not automatically include the lounge.
Sun on this side
The Grandstand gets mixed morning light and direct afternoon sun, with no roof. Pack sun protection and a waterproof layer. Front places catch more sun; compare the covered western option if shelter matters.
Neighbouring seating
The OurCoop reserved general and family areas continue towards the Media Centre side, while the Pavilion and Falcons/City End side provide other perspectives. Family seating is alcohol-free and reserved in the published Blast guides. Seasonal arrangements follow the actual fixture map; confirm the category rather than assuming every public area is unreserved.

Food, drink and toilets
The club’s current guide permits county-day food and refreshments, while T20 uses stricter rules on outside alcohol, chairs and picnic blankets. Read Derby’s ground rules for your format. Cashless concessions and refill points include the Elite Performance Centre, Pavilion and Boundary Bar. A Legends Lounge menu is a separate dining purchase.
Changing Places is behind Falcons Stand, with a key from Pavilion Reception. Accessible toilets are distributed around the ground.
Who it suits
The Grandstand suits visitors who enjoy side viewing in the open air and want the afternoon sun, with the option of a separately booked lounge nearby. It is also a useful comparison when arranging designated accessible viewing. Practical tip: give the club the Grandstand bay or Legends Lounge name explicitly so the booking matches your intended visit.
Tickets
As a 2026 guide, adult Championship advance admission was £17, juniors up to fifteen were free and eligible student/16–24 tickets were £5. The men’s One-Day Cup guide also listed £17 adults. Individual 2027 Grandstand and Blast prices are TBC. Prices depend on the seat category shown when you book.
Public county seating excludes member and executive rooms. Select the actual venue and category, or book official hospitality separately. Derbyshire also uses Queen’s Park and Repton, so keep the venue with the opponent.
