cinch County Ground: accessibility
The cinch County Ground has designated wheelchair viewing in several boundary areas, lift access in spectator buildings and a Changing Places toilet in the Lynn Wilson Centre. Start with the club-linked AccessAble surveys and contact Northamptonshire before booking. Your preferred view, room entitlement and route should be arranged together.
Booking accessible tickets
The club’s terms ask disabled supporters to contact the ticket office directly. The visitor pays the relevant match admission, while a necessary support worker or carer receives a free ticket. The club may require evidence and must be told in advance. Explain your wheelchair or mobility equipment, companion and any essential shelter or toilet requirement before buying independent standard tickets.
Lynn Wilson, Metcalf and Jackson Grundy, B&F Family and the area beside Spencer Pavilion have designated viewing. The first two have level approaches; the family area uses a slight slope and the Pavilion viewing platform a ramp. The surveys describe clear views and nearby companion places. Ask for the actual position and space your party needs, including an assistance dog.
Getting to the ground
Northampton station has Category A step-free access to all platforms, with lifts and railway assistance. National Rail’s station page also lists adapted toilets, Changing Places, baby changing and a hearing loop. Check lift availability and arrange railway assistance for the actual journey. The club gives a thirty-to-forty-minute station walk; a taxi or the current bus plan may suit you better.
The club names buses towards Weston Favell and The Abington pub stop. Check the current Stagecoach route, boarding point and stop-to-gate approach for your equipment. A station platform being step-free does not settle every street crossing or ground entrance. Tell the club if you need a drop-off closer to your viewing area.
Blue Badge bays are available in the Wantage Road and Abington Avenue car parks, subject to availability. The terms say parking is first come and cannot be booked in advance. Contact the club about your arrival and entrance before driving; ordinary match parking varies by format. The April 2026 Championship guide charged £5 without a pass, while a general survey’s parking description is not a fixture tariff.
Inside the ground
Most outer walkways are step-free, with slight slopes beside several stands. Lynn Wilson and Metcalf and Jackson Grundy have front-row level seating, while higher rows are stepped. B&F Family has a ramp or slope to its front row. Cinch’s seating rows and Turner’s entrance and seating require steps. Check the named survey rather than choosing an elevated row because the outer concourse is accessible.
The Spencer Pavilion has a lift serving its floors, but private-room admission depends on your ticket or membership. The Lynn Wilson Centre’s first-floor hospitality boxes also have lift access. The Hevey terrace has a ramp while an internal doorway has a single step; give staff the exact dining or viewing area in your enquiry.
The Lynn Wilson Centre has a ground-floor Changing Places facility. Adapted toilets are described at the Centre, beside Lynn Wilson and in Spencer Pavilion. Some fixtures add adapted portable toilets. Standard toilets behind the family stand and outside Spencer/Curo have a single step. The April guide identifies the ICC Indoor School’s accessible toilet as baby changing; ask staff for the nearest suitable route.
Assistance dogs and support
The surveys describe assistance-dog space at viewing positions and water provision, with no designated spending area listed. Explain your dog’s needs and any essential medication, sensory or communication support before arrival. A general permission for controlled pet dogs does not replace arranging the companion, viewing and room access that suits your visit.
