Marcus Trescothick Pavilion sits at the southern end of the County Ground, Taunton. Its lower seats are public on county days, while elevated Championship and One-Day Cup group seating is reserved for members; Blast sells both tiers publicly in different categories. Stragglers and the 1875 Club are named facilities inside the building, with their own room and catering arrangements.

The view

Lower seating

The lower seats look straight towards the wicket and northern end. They are public for Championship and One-Day Cup and use Category B for Blast. An outdoor lower seat does not include premium rooms or an elevated member position.

Elevated seating

Elevated seats give a higher, more oblique view. They are reserved for county members on the specified domestic days and sold publicly as Category A for Blast. Confirm the exact roof and lift route; cover varies by row.

Stragglers

Stragglers is the pavilion’s food-and-drink facility. The Somerset Package uses it for prematch hospitality, with its own menu, ticket and viewing arrangements and separate conditions once play starts. Check the ordinary café’s hours for a casual visit.

The 1875 Club

The 1875 Club is a premium facility with its own membership, guest policy and dress requirements. Arrange it separately from an ordinary seat. Its behind-the-bowler view and room entitlement belong to the named product.

Neighbouring seating

Rotec is the temporary south-eastern seating towards Ondaatje. Its installation and available blocks may change each season. Gimblett’s Hill is the permanent accessible-viewing neighbour on the other side; book that area through Somerset rather than buying a temporary seat as a substitute. Food, drink and toilets

Pavilion reception is a useful arrival point, including for the club’s free radios for visually impaired spectators. The club lists baby changing within Marcus Trescothick Pavilion. Check the match’s food outlets, room entitlement and closest suitable toilet before play. A privately catered booking and an ordinary outdoor seat use different admission arrangements.

Own food is allowed; glass and sharp objects are prohibited. Check the full format-specific packing rules. The venue is cashless.

Who it suits

Marcus Trescothick suits people who want the southern bowling view and a choice between lower and elevated seating. It is a useful base for a separately organised premium visit too. Practical tip: state the tier and any room name when booking, so your ticket and access route match.
