Visit Worcestershire New Road: accessibility

Visit Worcestershire New Road offers pitch-level viewing, lifts to key rooms and bookable accessible parking. Arrange the ticket and route with Worcestershire’s access team before choosing an ordinary seat. Call 01905 337921 with the match, equipment, companion and preferred viewing so staff can help plan the whole visit.

Booking accessible tickets

The club identifies pitch-level seating and balcony viewing in the members’ Sports Bar as accessible options. Book the viewing place in advance through the ticket team rather than substituting an ordinary seat. Sports Bar admission still needs the relevant entitlement; a suitable route does not by itself include access to a members’ room.

Explain any wheelchair or mobility equipment, companion and weather-shelter preference when enquiring. Current free-companion eligibility and the exact application process are TBC in the club pages checked; ask Worcestershire for the actual match arrangement before buying both tickets. General ground admission excludes designated member and hospitality seating.

Getting to the ground

Limited paid Blue Badge spaces must be reserved online or by phone. The club explicitly asks visitors not to arrive without pre-booked accessible parking because a place may not be available. Its drop-off point is at the side of the Severn Bridge. Confirm the arrival location and gate when arranging your seat, particularly if you need assistance with the final approach.

Foregate Street station has lifts and Category A step-free access to all platforms. The club puts it approximately half a mile from New Road. Shrub Hill has Category B3 access and no lifts, so check the platform and assistance arrangements for your actual service. The stations’ access descriptions do not establish an accessible route for every part of the ground approach.

The Reception entrance is at the front of the building, with the Graeme Hick Pavilion entrance farther along New Road. Ask which suits your reserved viewing. When the Severn is high, follow the club’s venue and entrance notices and current road advice: riverside parking and routes can close. check rather than assume the usual river path remains available.

Inside the ground

The club lists step-free access and lifts for Graeme Hick Pavilion, the Sports Bar, The View’s second and third levels and the ticket office. Specify both the room and outdoor viewing position for a premium visit. Staff can advise on the route from entrance to seat and toilet; a lift serving a building does not settle access to every ordinary row.

Accessible toilets are signposted around the ground. The current 2026 map identifies a Changing Places room and multi-faith/quiet space, while the club’s annual report records their installation. Check opening, essential equipment and any key or staff arrangements before arrival if you rely on either. A current complete AccessAble ground guide was not located through the primary club information checked.

Assistance dogs and support

Worcestershire’s inclusive match-day scheme lets SEND visitors enter thirty minutes before the public gates and provides a guided ground tour. Register through the club’s stated process and confirm the match-specific arrival arrangements. That quieter introduction can help visitors learn the facilities before the busiest part of the day.

Assistance dogs are welcomed. Tell the access team about any essential equipment, medication or support requirement before packing. If a bar or dining room is part of your booking, name it in the enquiry so the club can consider the room, viewing and dog arrangements together. Trained stewards are available to help on arrival.
