Croeso Stand, Cardiff: view, shade and what to expect
The Croeso Stand is the southern corner seating at Sophia Gardens Cardiff, between the Pro Steel Grandstand and the Castell Howell Stand. The official map places Blocks 28–30 here. Its curved boundary position gives an angled view across the field, with ordinary public domestic seating unreserved when the area is open.

The view
This is a corner choice rather than a straight side-on or directly behind-the-bowler position. Higher rows help you see the field beyond the nearest boundary; front rows make the nearby action feel closer.
Choosing a row
The club’s international map reserves block, row and seat at purchase. Rows start at A nearest the pitch and continue through the alphabet, omitting I, O and U, then use doubled letters. Use the live map for your match to compare the row with surrounding seats and any marked restrictions. Exact stand-specific restricted-view rows have not been published in the sources checked; ask the ticket team about your selected seat.
Sun and weather
Croeso gets a mix of sun and shade through the day. Ordinary seating is open to the weather, so a mixed sun position does not provide rain cover. Bring sun protection and a waterproof, and take particular care with children sitting nearer the front.
Getting to your seat
Ask Glamorgan about the approach and steps before buying if you need an easier route. Designated wheelchair viewing is arranged in the named stadium areas rather than every ordinary block. Arrange companion seating at the same time so the booking suits the whole group.

Food, drink and toilets
Check the match guide for concessions and opening times. Public food outlets operate on matchdays, but the club says their positions and vendors vary by event. A picnic is permitted with plastic cutlery; cooler bags or boxes are also authorised.
Changing Places is on the neighbouring Castell Howell concourse at Block 35. The stadium has accessible toilets using RADAR keys, with keys held by stewards and reception. Ask about the route rather than assuming the nearest visible toilet has the facilities you need. Own alcohol, cans and glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
Who it suits
Croeso suits visitors who enjoy an angled boundary view and want to compare a corner seat with the larger Grandstand next door. It is a useful choice for a county visit when the public areas are unreserved. Practical tip: look at Blocks 28–30 on the match’s seating plan and choose the angle before the row.
