Members’ Stand, Cardiff: view, shade and what to expect
The Members’ Stand at Sophia Gardens Cardiff is public seating: the club explicitly says you do not need Glamorgan membership to sit in Blocks 36–39. It is on the western corner between Castell Howell and the turn towards the Thatchers Pavilion. The Lewis Lounge behind the stand is separate: 2027 Full Membership includes domestic access, while ordinary public admission does not automatically admit you to the lounge.

The view
The western corner gives an angled view towards the wicket and across the square. Compare Blocks 36–39 to choose your preferred angle. A lower row puts the nearest boundary action closer; higher rows give a broader field view.
Lewis Lounge
Lewis Lounge is behind the stand in the National Cricket Centre, beside the museum. Full Membership 2027 includes domestic access, with four adult guest passes or two under-25 passes; confirm guests’ room entitlement. International hospitality is separate.
Accessible viewing
The official seating guide identifies wheelchair viewing in front of Block 38. Arrange this with the ticket team and request companion seating together. For venue-controlled events, one required companion is admitted free alongside the disabled spectator’s normal-price ticket. Other promoters can set different arrangements.
Cover and sunshine
Ordinary stand seating is open to the weather. It gets morning sunshine and a mix of sun and shade after lunch. Lounge access offers a different indoor setting, but does not create a roof over the outdoor rows. Bring a hat, sun cream and a waterproof for the seated part of your day.

Food, drink and toilets
A lounge booking has its own catering arrangements; public spectators use the concessions operating for the fixture. Vendors vary by event. Picnics with plastic utensils and cooler bags or boxes are allowed.
Accessible toilets are provided around the stadium, including the National Cricket Centre. Ask for the closest suitable route from Block 38 and a RADAR key if required. Changing Places is on the neighbouring Castell Howell concourse at Block 35. Own alcohol, cans and glass bottles or containers cannot be brought in.
Who it suits
The Members’ Stand suits public visitors wanting an angled view and county regulars who value the Lewis Lounge as part of the right membership. Its name need not put first-time ticket buyers off. Practical tip: ask separately about the outdoor block and lounge entitlement so your booking gives you the day you expect.
