Pavilion Stand, Leicester: view, shade and what to expect
Pavilion Stand is the public outdoor seating around the north-eastern corner of the Uptonsteel Grace Road ground. It looks diagonally back towards the Bennett End, with the Pavilion buildings close by. The name can be misleading: these open seats are different from the Pavilion’s indoor rooms, member facilities and separately booked hospitality.

The view
The Pavilion End perspective
The club’s ground map places Pavilion Stand along the north-eastern curve, rather than inside the main Pavilion building. Its match guide also identifies the outdoor Pavilion Stand by its red seats and the car park behind. From this corner the pitch stretches towards the south-south-west. You can follow an angled bowling line and see the wider field; moving around the curve changes how directly the stumps align.
Cover and light
No roof covers the public outdoor bank. Expect sunshine in both morning and afternoon on a clear summer day, with afternoon light increasingly in front of the eastern seats. The Pavilion’s nearby rooms are not an automatic refuge included with a public ticket. Buildings can cast local shadows, but the guide does not promise a shaded row. Published seat numbers, row ranges and detailed restricted-view positions are TBC.
Neighbouring seating
The Abacus Flooring Solutions Stand lies towards the north-west beside The Meet and is designated for Leicestershire members. The Family Stand is farther around the eastern boundary towards the Bennett End; Gallagher offers a public view from the opposite south-western corner. Compare those guides for a different angle without assuming that a nearby member enclosure is open to your ticket.

Food, drink and toilets
The Charles Palmer Suite and Fox Bar are Pavilion-side landmarks. Club information identifies accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities in this part of the ground, as well as wheelchair viewing associated with the Charles Palmer Suite. Ask which route and entitlement apply to your visit; a suitable indoor viewing arrangement must be confirmed separately from an ordinary outdoor seat.
The club’s directions send Pavilion Stand ticket holders through the Milligan Road turnstiles. The ground is cashless. Food and bar openings are fixture-dependent, so use the current match guide rather than treating an older concession list as a guaranteed menu.
Who it suits
Pavilion Stand is a useful public choice when you want the northern-end setting without a premium package. It is less suitable if dependable weather protection is your main priority. Before settling in, check the actual sightline, railing height and ease of getting out for a break. Visitors who need step-free seating should arrange a named viewing position with the club before buying.
Tickets
Leicestershire’s published domestic policy offers available unallocated seats, subject to designated member and hospitality areas. Buy the actual fixture through the club and read any special conditions for internationals, knockouts or other events. Do not select a Pavilion hospitality package simply because you want the outdoor Pavilion Stand. Individual 2027 public match tariffs and sale dates are TBC.
Contact the ticket team with the exact fixture if you need a companion place, parking or an accessible toilet route.
