Cinch Stand, Northampton: view, shade and what to expect

The view

A roof on the western side

Cinch faces into the ground from the western boundary, beside the open banks towards the north-west and south-west. The AccessAble survey and club’s heat advice identify sheltered seating here. Compare its row with Turner on the opposite part of the southern boundary if a roof is your first priority. An outdoor canopy helps with weather, but low sun and rain can still reach the most exposed front seats.

Choosing a row

The surveyed approach includes a slope, but the seating rows themselves require steps. There is no level-entry row to assume from the outer path. If steps are difficult, use the club’s designated wheelchair areas rather than selecting Cinch on the strength of its shelter alone. Ask for the actual row and route. The view is from the western side of the playing area; choose your seat from the current match map instead of relying on an old block name.

Neighbouring atmosphere

The B&F Family area lies towards the north-west; Blast+ is the open western-southern alternative. Moving between seating areas depends on your ticket and the match’s arrangements. A premium bank’s reserved facilities and the ground’s member rooms are separate entitlements. The western position puts Cinch near the Hevey side of the ground, but a hospitality booking is needed for a private room or dining package.

Neighbouring seating

For the Cinch Stand at Northampton, use the current match map for your block; private rooms need their own entitlement.

Food, drink and toilets

The April 2026 Championship notice identifies the Hevey Restaurant, Mushtaq Bar and a coffee and ice-cream concession by the groundsman’s hut. Cinch has stepped rows, so take a planned interval trip for food and toilets. Staff can direct you to the appropriate facilities; if you need an adapted toilet, agree that route alongside your seat before booking.

Who it suits

Cinch is a strong option for a long county day when you prefer a roof and some afternoon shade to an open bank. The western position also lets you compare family and premium alternatives close by. Practical tip: pick a row with the club’s shelter information in front of you, then keep a hat handy for low morning sun.
