The view
Position and angle
Worcester Cathedral is east of the ground, across the River Severn. From this eastern bank it is behind or oblique to the cricket-facing seats, rather than the backdrop across the outfield. For the familiar cathedral-behind-the-play composition, compare the western Pavilion side; the stand name alone does not promise that view. Use the official Worcester seating plan to place Cathedral Stand against the wicket and the neighbouring banks. Cathedral Stand: the highlighted plan here is a schematic, so the club’s ticket map remains the reference for choosing the individual seat.
Seating and rows
The Cathedral Stand is labelled on the eastern bank, between Mills and Diglis. Cathedral Stand: individual row ranges, restricted-view seats and row-by-row step-free routes are TBC in the published material. Ask the ticket office to check the offered Cathedral Stand seat if steps, a railing or an uninterrupted view would affect your visit.
Cover and summer light
Cathedral Stand has open seating without a roof. Cathedral Stand: bring sun protection and a waterproof layer for a full day outdoors. Cathedral Stand: the Morning and Afternoon values follow the north-up ground orientation and the direction these seats face. For Cathedral Stand, the nearest boundary and the row height affect what you see; shade from a roof or neighbouring structure changes as the sun moves.
Neighbouring seating
Cathedral Stand sits between the Mills and Diglis sides of the ground.

Food, drink and toilets
From Cathedral Stand, use the club map to find WODR Bar & Café and the other matchday outlets. WODR’s covered ground-level seating and upper deck are different places from a stand seat. The Ladies Pavilion is known for its volunteer-run tea and cakes and welcomes visitors; check opening during your match rather than treating it as an included meal.
Before visiting Cathedral Stand, check Worcester’s food, drink and bag rules for your match format. Food: Food and soft drinks allowed for permitted county formats. Alcohol: Up to four cans at permitted county matches; wine volume needs club confirmation; none at T20/full internationals/ODC knockouts. Glass: No glass drinking vessels or bottles.
Who it suits
Cathedral Stand is worth comparing if you prefer eastern side-on view from this part of Worcester. Our practical advice is to decide on shelter, the cricket angle and any access requirements before selecting a row.
Tickets
Book Cathedral Stand through Worcestershire’s official ticket site. The club’s published general-admission route permits available ordinary seats around the ground, excluding designated members’ and hospitality areas. Individual 2027 stand prices and reserved-row allocations are TBC.
For Cathedral Stand, choose ordinary admission if you want the outdoor bank. A Pavilion guest place, BEARD Terrace, Chestnut Marquee, WODR or Legends Box package follows its own entitlement. Club and Premium members’ published two-guest Pavilion route applies to Championship and One-Day Cup days, not automatically to Blast.
